This session will create a space for conversation around the complexities and opportunities implicit in working with multilingual metadata. Participants will be able to share experiences, questions, workflows, and resources relating to how their repositories are managing the challenge. Potential directions for the Birds of a Feather include collective problem-solving, exploring collaborative opportunities, and planning next steps on how to continue the conversation.
Possible topics include:
•             Managing platform limitations
•             Building cultural competencies
•             Using existing standards and schemas to document language
•             Making the case to your institution
•             Inclusive practices
